If you have been to Wrigley Field for a Chicago Cubs game anytime in the last five years or so, chances are you have seen a fan wearing a royal blue shirt with a simple sentence in white on the front. That is an Obvious Shirt and it is made by Joe Johnson, creator and owner of Obvious Shirts.

After years of pushing out thousands of witty one-liner T-shirts from his basement, Joe Johnson ’11 will be expanding Obvious Shirts with the launch of a storefront in late July a block from Wrigley Field.

Yesterday at Cubs camp, the coaches showed up wearing Obvious Shirts that simply stated their job title, courtesy of a delivery from Ian Happ.
It was hilariously simple.

Ian Happ teamed up with Obvious Shirts to gift custom tees to Ross, his Cubs teammates and staff members that label their job titles. Ross showed his off during his Zoom press conference Saturday.
